- Technical preparation: upgrade to Drupal 8 as a stepping stone, then to Drupal 10
- Content migration: use of the Migrate API + Migrate Tools to automate the transfer
- Partial redesign: theme adaptation, integration of CKEditor 5, mobile optimization
- Testing & validation: functional checks, SEO, accessibility, and security
- Launch & follow-up: redirects, post-migration monitoring, customer documentation

Following a comprehensive analysis of the site, a customized approach was adopted to optimize the site's architecture and functionality. The strategy involved a phased migration process using dedicated Drupal modules.
Configuration Migration The initial phase focused on migrating existing configurations using specialized Drupal modules designed for this purpose. This ensured a smooth transition of basic settings and structures.
Element Migration Next, elements that had not been successfully migrated by the basic modules were addressed. This required the development of two custom migration modules: Module 1, designed for Drupal 7, and Module 2, for Drupal 10. Additional details about these modules are available in a dedicated article.
Rebuilding Custom Features Once the migration modules were operational, the custom features were recreated. This included implementing features such as locating culinary professionals and rebuilding themes.
Reconstruction of Theme and Mailing System The theme was rebuilt using a theme builder, offering greater flexibility compared to the original theming method in Drupal 7. In addition, the original mailing system was restored to maintain consistent communication capabilities.
